Day 9
January 9, 2021

I have lived in this town for 42 years.  I have made choices based on whether I would stay in the town surrounded by my community or not several times and have always decided to stay put.  I did it for the community, I did it for my work.  I'm glad I did.    It is an honest town.  Thankfully I have remained surrounded by caring people.  And you have to admit, it is quite sweet.

Saturdays are wonderful days, I spend the afternoon with artists in The Lava Center.  Today was gentle, which I think we needed, no money to be made, which is disappointing, but it was useful planning time.  We organized the next 2 months of Saturdays.  We need a couple other people to be involved, but for the most part we have Jan and Feb. planned.

It's amazing how quickly one realizes the days are getting longer.  For the past month or so we have walked out of Lava Center and it has been dark.  Tonight was different.  I drove past the fairgrounds in hopes of finding a sunset on Wisdom Way, but I was too early.  Even when I drove into my driveway there was only a little pink.
