Day 35
February 4, 2021
A successful photograph day and some grieving rolled up together.
The idea was to go out into the beautiful day.
The idea was to take in that beauty.
What happens is my brain triggers into explorations of patterns, of patterns in the landscape, in the behaviours of animals, birds and people, and of patterns of stories in my spiral driven brain.
Of course the whole ride becomes a pattern of its own. Today's was just longer. Usually I chose one town to explore today I chose four. I looked at collections of birds, birds flying, dancing, swimming, and eating. I found many different paw prints on different bodies of water. I found heart shapes in holes in trees and wondered who made them heart shape.
But today I thought a lot about grieving and how unsettled it makes people feel. I would hope it could be part of the beauty, the texture in our lives.
swan are beautiful.
and sunset was just beginning at the canal. There was a group of gulls, mallards, swan, Canada geese and other ducks mixed in. They were feeding and the reflections were stunning.
Life is magical, Part of that magic is grief. There's a lot of grief hanging around these days, between a thin wall between worlds and the amount of alone time people have. Take it in. Let it touch you. It's important and it is another color in the tapestry. Love it in the same way you love joy. Life is magical.
