A Mating Ritual

She is clearly interested in him.

He does not seem to be as interested.

She waited as long as she could

And then she left.  

He stayed there another 5 minutes.  

 I think they'll be back.  I think there must be a nest somewhere close.  Birds were very busy today and there were a lot of them, a lot of singing going on.  There was also a group of squirrels hanging out in a high tree for a while.  But I needed color much closer to me than I could find in the out of doors.  And the snow, which I am sure is what everyone was preparing for, never arrived.
