Day 55
February 24, 2021
not quite full but surrounded by poetry
You can see the bottom of the rookery where the cattails grow. The land is drier there than its been in months even though we've had plenty of snow. It was 47 degrees there today and sunny. The road looked like mud season, but I did the ride anyway because the shadows were beautiful. I saw 2 hawks over the pool, but no big birds in the hills. I thought I'd see a lot today.
I thought I'd have my 3rd interview tonight, but those I have lined up have had really busy weeks. I'm hoping by Friday someone will have completed the interview. I also got a couple leads on other people with interesting stories.
Therefore, you all get my ride today.
There was an interesting sunset tonight. It was a little more drawn out than a late January sunset. It was pretty and primarily pinks and purples.
I have a friend whose in jail, probably for another year. He has been doing a tremendous amount of artwork and mailing it to me. I now have 4 large envelopes full of paintings. It weighs on me. Not in a bad way, I feel honored, but I'm not sure what to do with it. There is a large collection of 6x6 paintings that I really like and I think they'd make a nice small square book. I'm not sure if I should try to do a mock up on Shutterfly or Blurb.
Tomorrow I am visiting my nephew and his partner and we're going to a nature center in Vermont. I'll post pictures, but probably late. I hope by Friday I do have an interview to post. I've received some good feedback on the two that I've posted and I hope it continues.
