Day 60
March 1, 2021
The grey broke for a while as the wind picked up

I had a cardinal in the side yard this morning as red as I've ever seen one.  He landed in the old berry bush on the side of the driveway where the sparrows and finch tend to hand out.  He caused kind of a small ruckus which made me look outside and there he sat in his bright beautiful red.

The canal was blocked off again so I went down to Unity Park and there were dozens of birds; geese, swan, gulls, ducks and who knows what else in the large grouping where the ice was broken up and the river was flowing.

And by the time I drove up to the rookery it was after 3 and the temperature was dropping and the sun was coming out, and the wind was blustery and blowing the clouds all over creation.

The views were beautiful and the animal life was all hidden away avoiding the gusts.  Except the llamas whose coats are thick enough to protect them.

The rain over the last few days did not take all the snow away, but grasses and rocks are beginning to pop out.

It's March!  A year ago today was sunny and buds were beginning to appear.  I went to the Smith College Greenhouse on March 1, 2020 and took pictures of Faith and flowers and got ready to shoot the bulb show which never happened for the public.  COVID locked us all down and we were unable to see it.

I was hoping I would have acquired a few more interviews by now, but I am sorry I posted the 2 I had so quickly.  I think the project is really important and I am going to continue on it.  Once I've collected them all I will post it.

I also believe that the data I collected 7 years ago on birth mothers can be structured and shared in that same framework.  I'm going to look into that, as well.  I have 23 stories that will make a good collection.

Meanwhile, enjoy the rides and the vistas.
