A day for bird watching

There were plenty of birds out today beginning with Juncos in the yard. I think I may have to take the swing down this year. I'll cry, if only because it has helped to make the yard so photogenic.
I went to Hadley to investigate frames for my show. They only had 1 of the kind I really wanted. I bought it, but I'm going to have to order the rest. It's so expensive to do it right.
Friends met me at Barnes and Noble and we sat and caught up and drank tea. It was the first time in almost a year that either them had sat and talked in a public place. I've hidden in a corner there twice in the past year, but it is odd to be trying to act normal with masks on.

It was a perfect day for the drive back home. I went up Keats Rd. to Woolman Hill and was sad to see that Bobby's Memorial Plaque had been removed, the plaque and the tree it sat on. I have done many things at Woolman Hill, but every time I drive up there its the first time I went there that comes flying back at me. Bobby and I drove up to visit his brother, David who was at school there. I don't know who else was with us, but 4 of us pulled off Keats Rd, had 2 decks of cards and a bottle of bad wine and played bridge in the field right before the school. Now who does that? But we all played bridge where ever we wanted to. We played in Kent, Ohio in a truck stop once. We'd just sit down and deal. Andy must have been with us. Who knows.
There is a lot of work going on up there. I realized it has been a long time since I've been to a retreat there. I'm going to have to look into the possibility of a weekend writing time. It's a very special place. I suppose it would be really cool to play a couple rubbers.
And then I went over to GCC to stare out at the fields and this guy flew right next to me landing in the tree by the car. He hung out and let me photograph him for a while and then flew across to the wetland. Birds are coming back. Hooray.
My "they" project is on hold. So sorry, it was a good beginning, but people are busy and having a hard time getting back to me. It'll pick up, meanwhile here's some language to help with understanding the topic further.
