Day 71
March 12, 2021
Happy Birthday, Sarah, my dear

It was a perfect day for birds.  Little over 60, bright sunlight, dark blue water, and a slight wind  The swans have coupled off, no longer holding on to the bevy.  The gulls, ducks and the geese are staying in large groups.

The rookery was still with the exception of the red winged blackbird.  The mud was thick and driving a little dicey for about a mile.

I need to learn the llamas names.  They are friendly to me, although I admit I have not gotten out of the car, but I stop and talk to them.  Today I looked for their persons, but no one was outside.

The wind was beginning to pick up.  40 mile an hour gusts are expected tonight, I always get the feeling that the birds and the animals have already begun to get ready for whatever weather is heading our way.  I did not see any birds of prey at all.

I saw dove, swan, geese, gulls, hooded merganser, mallards, teal, robins, red winged blackbird, crow and junco.

Good night, world.
