Day 76

All About Birds, kinda
Happy St. Patrick's Day. There's no Irish in me, but I certainly am surrounded. Started my day off talking to Patrick. But I jumped into the car by 11 to take my ride. I wasn't feeling well and I thought maybe it'd help, it didn't. But I did get to see all those pretty things. I came home and slept for a while, but I lost track of time and the day and I'm not sure I could tell you what I did do today. I did take pictures of birds.
Bohemian waxwing, I couldn't figure out what he was at first because he was sunning himself in direct sun and it threw all his colors off. And he was alone, I'm not sure I've ever seen a solitary waxwing before. There was another hawk soaring above and a half dozen chickadees in the spruce.
Today's list: pigeons, red tailed, dove, blue jay, sparrow, red winged blackbird, Bohemian waxwing, chickadee, a smaller hawk, Canada geese, a line of ducks and robin.
Went and watched the sunset at the pool, it was kind of a let down, but we know that a storm is coming tomorrow and there were not a lot of clouds in the sky today. Lots of ducks and geese headed north up the highway in that pink color, which was pretty. There were several people down at the pool with me including my friend Terry who I haven't watched with probably since November.
And when i got home, there she was bright high up in the sky smiling down on us.
