Day 80
March 21, 2021
Hello Spring

I had more to be grateful for today.  Herb and Trace took me to Sunday Dinner at an Italian restaurant.  Food was good and we were outside on the porch in the sun with crows calling to us.

I took a lot of photos today, so tonight I have a lot of photos to show you.

I also saw a lot of birds today so my list is much longer.  Today I saw chirping sparrow,, pigeons, crows, vultures,  starlings, and by the big river, Canada geese, common merganser, hooded merganser, a duck I couldn't identify, swan, Mallards, and gulls.

Doesn't she look like she's in a deep conversation with the tree?
This little guy is the one I could not identify.  Anyone want to try?  I think the majority of my birder friends don't come to the blog, but if you're there, tell me what you think.

I bet you there were close to 1000 geese between the canal, the Connecticut and the Green River.  Are we a stop over or will we really house this many?

They've begun the next stage of demolishing Railroad Salvage.  The wall that looked like an aqueduct is gone

Many photos, many rivers, many birds, a headache and few words.

And at the end the half moon was directly above my head.
Good Night Moon

  1. It's an eagle-winged duck bird!!! 😂😂😂 All I can see is a silhouette and what looks like a goose near it. (Pic seems a bit fuzzy to tell what they really look like.) Sounds like a lovely day 😊
