Day 89
March 30, 2021
Happy Birthday, Lucy L.
Went up to the rookery early and brought my fully vaccinated friend, Fraser, with me. He was so thrilled. He had good binoculars and we hung out for awhile identifying voices. We saw red winged, tufted titmouse, vulture, hawk, heron, Canada geese, crow, swallows and heard a woodpecker.
It was still a little chilly and a little breezy but the sun was making everything sparkle.
We saw 8 heron today. There were at least 3 that looked young to me. I think they were part of last year's babies.
Saw the first goldfinch of the season. Then I took my lunch to the Green River Cemetery and listened to crows and watched a hawk in the background. There were more vultures.
Went up to Warwick. There was a heron in Heron Pond.
I drove home through Bernardston hills and could see really far where the views open up. But I was exhausted when I got home. I'm not sure what I accomplished, but it took its toll on me. I don't get this aging thing at all
