Happy Ducks 

There is a cloudless sky

Red tail just

landed near me in the pine tree

symbol for my life.

The noon sun beats down on me

for the first time this year.

 

Skunk is near

gold finch and house finch

are spreading the word.

 

I sit here alone again without

the noises of human activity.

 

I have a finch 20 feet away

and a hawk 30 feet away

and a robin just behind me.

 

and I am blessed

cocooned in my yard.

No ride today;   Hung out at the rookery for a bit.  72 degrees and overcast and still with the exception of ducks.  I got to see the wood ducks today.  Glad to see them.

But I'm very busy with the final steps for setting up the show and I haven't even really helped with the opening Salon.  So no real blog tonight, just bird pics and a poem from last year.
