Day 96
April 6, 2021
A day full of birds.

I did the grocery shopping before I went to the rookery this morning.  A stroke of genius, kinda.

I haven't been able to afford getting the yard done in 2 years.  I've depended on the good graces of my very sweet neighbors.  This week I arranged with a friend to have someone who knows what he's doing to come and do the yardwork.  OMG, it is kind of amazing.    He trimmed back all of the bushes and raked leaves and made my yard almost look presentable, actually he did and by tomorrow, after a trip to the dump it will be really sweet.  If you're in Greenfield or Turners and looking for someone to do yardwork, message me.  This guy is really good.

They left around 5 after a full day of work and I sat in a lawn chair with some forsythia cuttings, a lot of birds and my camera.

I need a new outside table and charcoal and it will be perfect.

This is the only crocus in the yard.  There is one daffodil, too.

Watched the sunset with Terry at the Green River Cemetery.  There were several black vultures in the trees in front of us.  I think there must have been a nest.  They were just flying around and touching down and flying again and then coming back to rest, right above us.

The sunset changed from golden to pinkish, melonish to blues.

Tomorrow I'm going to go search for sandhill cranes in Ashfield.
