Day 133

Up In Edite's Garden
This is my favorite eating spot in the valley; Edite's garden. I love writing in here, too. And I love her family. People, people in a picture. My woodpecker pictures aren't good enough, but Saber and Diana were a delight.
Really is a lovely sight for soar eyes.
went for a short ride today looking for the baby turkeys that have been spotted this week. Instead I saw 2 indigo buntings and a blue bird.
I saw downy, and I believe a female hairy woodpecker and I heard a call in my yard that my ap kept identifying as a loon, which it could not have been. I may have been a flicker. I did not see it. Anyone else have a suggestion for a bird that might sound like a loon? Not the haunting sound but the constant call.....
Anyone want to guess at what kind of duck these are? The canal had 7 swan and these 2 duck in it tonight. I was a little early for sunset, but the golden light was gorgeous. No bird of prey.
My bird list for the day was big: robin, house sparrows, pigeon, a woodpecker I could not see, heron, red winged black birds, tree swallows, barn swallows, black birds, blue jay, blue bird, starlings, song sparrow, downy, chickadee, indigo bunting, chickens, vultures, grackles, mockingbird, catbird, swan, duck, wood duck, Canada geese, and maybe a flicker calling from above my head for sometime today.
