Day 134
May 14, 2021
A beautiful late Spring day

My backyard was really alive today, really alive.  I spent an hour listening and watching and loving my home.  I cannot even begin to name all of the birds that flew by me or sang at me today.  So wonderful.

The rookery was beautiful this morning.  It was calmer than it has been for awhile, no armies of birds flying this way and that.  I saw a few babies on the road and the red wings continue to dominate the wetland.  There was a pair of hawks, didn't identify them though.  They didn't come down low enough for me to see.  By 11 it was over 70 and calm and dry.  Very beautiful day.

I saw this red bellied woodpecker and this giant blue jay.  There was a mourning dove around, a catbird and several mockingbirds.

My computer is failing me, but after 2 hours of trying I did get this up.  I like the bird world better than the tech world.  I seem to be better seasoned for it.
