Day 136
May 16, 2021
Green heron comes over to play with turtles.
There are babies in a couple of those nests. Parents are feeding offspring. There is much more activity happening around them.
Today I was joined by some birdwatchers with good binoculars. One woman was very good at it. It was 74 degrees up there at 11 this morning and a pair of Baltimore Orioles serenaded me for a good 45 minutes before I found them. The birdwatchers found this green heron in the reeds and at first I saw the turtles but not the heron. Eventually I started seeing everyone.
I had dinner over at The Smokehouse with Diane and Chris tonight. After dinner I knew there had to be a rainbow somewhere. But I couldn't find it. I did however find some nice color in different places. The Cove was quite pretty.
And this was in my driveway waiting for me when I returned home.
