Day 140
May 20, 2021
A day of flowers.
I actually hung out at the rookery for a while this afternoon. Some friends came by and I got to look through a cool lens. A few herons flew around bringing food back up to the nest. The Baltimore Oriole sang to me the whole time. There was a pileated and a hairy woodpecker close by, not letting me take their photo.
Had a late lunch in the graveyard and was visited by the ground hog. But what really caught my attention was how many wildflowers are in bloom and how much color has erupted.
Anyone know what this is?
There were cardinals on the white fence and I did not succeed with one single in focus photo. Oh well.
These two are new to this field. They are so handsome and big. There were birds all around them today. Is that because of insects?
Field after field of wild flowers, so gorgeous. I hope we get some rain tomorrow, though. I don't want any on Saturday because of the bee festival, but we need a little, I think.
Good night sun. Good night, world.
