Happy Birthday, Jason

Happy Bee Festival, Greenfield.

 

Today was a special day in Greenfield.  

Bees appeared all over the place and the streets were filled with more people than in over a year.  We had Morris Dancers and some musicians here and there, some chalk drawing, and the uncovering of 6 sculptures through the town.  Unfortunately, I did not collect the artists' names so I'll have to come back and tell people about them later.  Meanwhile, a lot of bee history was told and I am gathering that, as well.

At Lava we had music by Michael Nix and one of the artists, David, did a workshop on Matting that he will repeat on June 5th

Next door at the Pushkin, Exploded View had an experiential installation. 

Thanks to the Greenfield Business Association we have added furniture for a small outside patio.  People may come and hang out their and maybe it will draw more viewers, too.

update:  Lauri Bond is the artist who did the top bee.  It is titled, Celtic Bee.
