Day 156
June 5, 2021
Congrats, Ilaria.

My day was divided into 3 sections.  The first was Lava Center, working where it was really busy for half the time and then stopped almost entirely.  It was 92 degrees by 2.  I made a whopping 3 dollars.  But I really think it will build.

EJ and Diane came by.

The second part was a ride into the hills in hopes of finding temperature relief.  AC worked, and the fields were so beautiful.  Again I counted 11 babies.  Heron babies go through several stages.  A couple of the nests have babies with real feathers on them.  They were also vey vocal today.

Again no llamas and no horses but there were cows, including baby cows in these gorgeous fields.  So pretty.

And the third part of the day was a family graduation party for Ilaria, who I've known since she was born.  I love these kids.

Tonight was the first time I was able to interact with Georgie.  He just turned one and is a remarkably caring baby.  I had a very precise experience with him showing me concern and offering me his napkin while I was choking.  Made me smile.

I thought a lot about this group of kids and EJ who are all leaving home soon.  It is a 2 decade cycle in our lives that we need to hold onto and let go of.  I felt really happy that George was there, a new baby for me to love, even though I will never stop loving the older ones.
