Day 158
June 7, 2021
Hot

The first time I went to the rookery today it was 93 the second time it was 87 at 7:30; Two hours later it is 80.  OK it's going in the right direction, not quite fast enough, and the house is now officially heated, but it'll be ok.  Right?  I hate extreme heat.  My brain goes to mush.  I am mush.

The second time I went was on my ride and I went the opposite way that I usually go and saw some of the long vistas.  The air was clear enough to see the Berkshires.

I didn't see anything spectacular in the was of animal life, but it was just lovely and felt good with a breeze on me.  Nobody else was on the road.  Everyone has found water or air conditioning.

Both the angle and the time of day created new perspectives.

Ca,e down out of the hills and went over to the rivers.  There were probably 100 geese on the Connecticut and a billion bugs.  People were having fun watching the moms take the babies for a walk.

I think those in the water and those that were flying around were the adolescents.

I tried to post a video of myself reading a poem for Vince, but I couldn't do it.  Either yesterday or tomorrow would have been his birthday.  I was hoping some of us would get together to celebrate his life, but I haven't heard from those who would be in the know.
