Day 166
June 15, 2021
I think people know I love my town.
Spent some time at the rookery at 11:30 when it was 71.
There is so much new life popping up all around. Goldfinch pair had babies. No sign of the Baltimore orioles, they must be feeding fledglings in the high leaved trees. The Lava Center housed Third Tuesday tonight. We have not been together as a group in 16 months. It was wonderful. People wrote some great stuff while they were secluded. I think we should create a pandemic book;
Here are 2 I've written recently.
Spirit shadows fly
between tree lines.
All but their wingspan
movement camouflaged
by early spring covering.
Behind the
Quiet
the rushing
sounds of water
child’s glee
breaking stick
car’s hum
truck’s rattle
Behind the
Quiet
the sound of
life.
