Day 168
June 17, 2021
I saw my mother first thing this morning.

Another long and productive day leaving me tired at this late hour.  I was up at the rookery at 9 this morning.  It was almost chilly.  The goats were all outside and the barn was filled with swallows, red wing black birds and starlings flying all around.

I'm not sure actually how old the babies are at this point but they are happy things.  They were running all over the place.

There were bird of prey out today, too. I saw a few above the barn and a few on my ride to Montague later.

Been a long time since I was in a business meeting, which felt a little funky this morning, but I like the people I am working with.  I'm glad to be working with them even though I do not feel my own level of competence.

I met with Leo this afternoon and remembered projects that I did feel competent at.  Funny how you never know what's around the corner.  But it didn't matter today sitting by a river at 77 degrees and 42 percent humidity

Watched the sunset up on Poet's Seat.  Again, weather wise this day was absolute perfection.  If I just use the vistas I saw today as benchmarks I have to tell ya, life is grand.  And if I use the people I saw as benchmarks, ya can't do much better.  I'll stick with that.   It was a nice day.
