Day 179
June 28, 2021
Day 2 of heatwave

I predict that these two will be gone by the end of the week.  They are flapping their wings a lot, they're leaving the edge of the nest and the adults are gone most of the time.

I actually took 3 rides today which is a little strange because my ac is broken, but it felt better to be in the car moving than in the house where the fan was beginning to feel irrelevent pushing around the hot stale air indoors.  But it was at least 98 at 4 and it was best to move.

I went to the rookery early, the canal and cove late afternoon and the farmland at sunset.  There were a lot of little animals around, a ton of rabbits and I saw two yearlings after sunset.  In the canal the were 5 swan, one adult male heron, a gang of adolescent geese and a gaggle of adult Canada geese.  The cove was hot.

sunset was not exciting and all of the storms went north of us, but still there was that pink over the farms.  Reminds me of my childhood.
