Day 170
June 19, 2021
Crystal Shrimp for supper
It was a work day, but I worked a little bit everyday this week. It was a full week and a full day.
I reached the rookery around 5:30 and it was 88 degrees. A phoebe had been hit by a car. Made me sad. A heron was on the road side of the rookery when I arrived, but he took off before I turned the engine off. It was hot, humid and cloudy up there and I felt a little stifled. Too early in the season to feel that way. I think I got photos of every nest so that I can make a true count of babies.
I went in search of the bears, but I only saw this doe. She was in the woods by the time I got there.
These flowers last forever. They are so beautiful . they were busting out all over today.
The Berkshire Mountains were not covered in snow.
And the gold finch were ruling the feeders.
