Day 182

The extreme heat is gone for now.

This morning at 8:30 it was 71 and rainy and muggy and wet.  All of the birds were in their nests.  When I went back up at 6 tonight it was 75 and rainy and muggy and wet, but all of nest 5 birds were gone and only one bird sat in nest 3.  There were a lot of herons around the rookery and in the trees.  

It is the ducks that love this weather.  There were several families swimming around the edges.  These mallards are pretty big at this point.  

I took down the show today, it was bittersweet.  I really love it as a whole and I loved doing activities amidst it.  I will miss it.  And I have no idea how to store it at this point.  But its done.  i don't know if there is a next step or if I need a new project or if I need to finish an old one that dangles there. 

But I do know I am proud of Words From The Rookery.
