Day 187
July 6, 2021
I'm a lucky kid.

I know I've said it before, but I'm saying it again, I have great friends.  Once again they've pulled me through a minor disaster.  Thank you everyone, Thank you.

My life took me to other then the norm places today.  I didn't get a lot of pics, but I got some nice ones.  Edite's garden was very green and full of grapes and other fruits. And Denise's yard was lush.  When I was there last the peonies were just about to bloom and now they're tall full bushes.

And there is foliage in the canal, one heron and several groups of adolescent ducks.  Early afternoon it was hazy and although storms had not arrived the heat and humidity rose quickly. Denise gave me a bag of fresh cut watermelon, which I had been craving for two days.  I took it on my drive and was in heaven.

The rookery was 86 and the storm clouds were brewing.  There were two heron and a flicker in the tall trees.   I still think there is a children's book in this.  The Heron and the Flicker?

I got lost on my drive today.  I haven't been lost in Shelburne Falls since EJ was a toddler.  I found myself on a very curvy road that I didn't recognize. It had at least 4 farms on it that were old with larger barns and gardens. Ended out on Old Greenfield Rd.

Wish me luck with my ECHO session tomorrow.  Little nervous about it but looking forward to meeting new people and learning some new things.

And now the sky has gone from salmon to pink  and it is getting brighter by the moment.  The pink is reflecting off the wet tree trunks, everything covered in a glow.  It looks like it is on fire for 20 seconds and immediately dies down.  Summer skies...
