Day 188
July 7, 2021
A day of telling stories.
How many nests have fledged this week? I can''t answer the question. I think at least 4 of them. I will double check again tomorrow. But there is still 1 in the 3 nest condo. He is just hanging out up there going from limb to limb. I wonder if its a Mom wondering where everyone went. Is it empty nest syndrome?
We have dragonflies accumulating, eggs are hatching.
I saw ducks, herons, red winged black birds, and cardinals. I saw starlings, and cowbirds, swallows and an indigo bunting. I also saw a hawk who I stopped to talk to and confused the cars behind me.
And the goats were out and they look so healthy and happy, their little tales wagging away.
But I was nervous about work and so I did not actually go for a ride. Plus it was 93 and sticky and I don't like it. We did not get a big storm but the temperature has dropped considerably. I hope to get a ride in tomorrow in the cooler temps. I did get my car back and that is a big relief. And I did facilitate the workshop tonight and was pleased with it. If people are interested in following this project I'm working on, go to www.ECHOgreenfield.org and give it a looksee. We'd love it if more people joined us.
