Day 194

Deer on the other side
Today was a totally different kind of a day. I must admit that I have had a strong sense of my parents near me. There must be something about this wet weather that brings me to some pre language memories. I need to go to Wilton and explore the historical society and try to put together 1955. I think there is some key there.
So in the midst of this wet weather, the kind of weather loved by ducks and insects, I had this bizarre day.
I did go to lunch with my friend, David, in Sunderland and I passed some beautiful sights, but I did not take my camera out. I brought it into the restaurant, but I took no pictures of his beautiful smile that makes me happy. I just didn't take any pictures.
Around 4 I went up to the rookery. My friend Thomas called me just as I got there. My intention was to be away from humans and to just take in the rookery world. As I answered the phone I realized across the pond were possibly three deer. I didn't have the big lens on. I engaged in the conversation on the phone and watched the deer graze for over a half hour. Finally the herons started moving around and I got off the phone and changed my lens and took some pictures in the mist. How many herons do you see in this particular photo? I believe there are 4.
He is monastic and walks 5 hours every evening into the night every night. It was a fascinating conversation. Really was.... Not sure
Meanwhile the deer stayed for a long time. Usually I only see a doe and fawn, but when I got home and downloaded the pictures, I realized there was a male, I think a 2 year old there, too.
There were several adult ducks hanging out on the edges of this scene. There were 2 families, too.
Things were serene and drizzly and I had talk through out it all. Everything was peaceful though.
There is a tree at the end of the road where I see a tree spirit every so often. I think I've posted her before. Today she had a second spirit with her and was looking quite lovely.
