Day 199
July 18, 2021
everybody came out between rain storms.

I went up the road early this morning to make sure everyone was ok.  The storms were harsh last night and I woke  up to news of roads washed out.

Taylor Road was ok and there were loads of birds and animals out.  It never got over 71 today and we had some rain, but mainly just cloudy.  Wildlife got a chance to catch up with itself.  I saw more birds at the rookery today than I have seen in weeks.

Went over to Highland and didn't see anything but that weird algae and a new crop of milkweed.

And there are so many mushrooms all around the place.  These may have been the largest mushrooms I ever saw in the wild.
Momma goats were finally feeding on that beautiful clover.  And the two legged neighbors had cupcakes.

Pair of kingfishers

Pair of Cedar Waxwings.

Baltimore Oriole

Herons, not as many as a few days ago, but plenty to go around.

The cows were out in the pasture. The black horses were close to the fence.  Everyone seemed interested in the lush new greenery

When I pulled over to look back at the Berkshires an adolescent woodchuck scooted by me not stopping to say hello.  Mist was too thick to see much of the mountains.

I live in a beautiful spot..
