Day 200
July 19, 2021
We'll be taken over by fungi and bugs
I had a beautiful day today. It wasn't entirely dry, but closer to it than it has been in a long while. I went to the rookery around 11 and there were 2 heron in the rookery that I could see. I'm sure there were some babies deep in a couple nests, but the majority of them were gone at least for the day.
The kingfisher couple were over on the other side and I could see them do their flickering thing. There were plenty of ducks in the water and several song birds came to say hi.
As I wandered around the mountain this hawk was screeching and a half mile beyond a redtailed flew by me screeching.
How many crows do there have to be together to be called a murder? There were six in this pasture taking turns on fence posts. They were playing, happy birds, no rain.
There were plenty of storm clouds looming in the horizon, but no rain near me and the water was green, reflecting the lush world.
The cemetery was a mushroom paradise . Squirrels were having feasts and seem to know which ones to break off and eat. They were sizes, colors and shapes. A chirping sparrow kept close because I was in the mushroom meadow and he was partaking.
And at the end of the day I had a real dinner and company. Yes, I had a great day and now I have to sleep.
