End of a long and good weekend

Grace and Jake drove me down from Vermont around lunchtime.  The weather stopped our family gathering, but the 5 of us at Ember's had breakfast and a slow morning and then they brought me home.

Diane and EJ picked me up later and brought to their place so I could visit with the pets and be up there for a bit.

I miss my rides.  I miss the rookery.  I saw plenty of beauty today, but I didn't see my herons and I may not again until next March.  I fear they have all fledged.  With luck I will have my car back by Tuesday so I'll see them then.

The rains moved the wood debris in the creek pretty far and the edges were eroded some.  Beefsteak will go down to the creek with EJ.  She follows them all over the yard.

When they dropped me off at home a red fox was running through the backyard.  Now I know why I don't have as many bunnies.
