Day 209
July 28, 2021
I got my wheels back.

It's true the herons have left the rookery.  Last year it took  a month between the first and the last fledgling.  Ten days ago I thought there were still three nests left to get big enough and fly.  But they really are all gone.  I hope we didn't lose any in the rain within the time I was MIA.

I also think the pumpkin patch has tripled in size since last I saw it, saying nothing about the exterior design work that has been done.
And the orchards are beginning to have that end of the summer look, not the dog days of summer look.

I was told today to not write August off though, to expect some dog days to come.  Everything was so green today and the haze was gone.  I HAVE MY CAR.  I can go for my rides.

The wetlands all around the Deerfield where one can usually see ducks was filled in with growth.  All around the corn fields are just beginning to get height.  Lower Rd. is lush farm land today.  GORGEOUS,
We had a really good ECHO workshop tonight.

And Cathe continues to work on her piece.  It's so cool to watch it appear.  If you are able, come see it on Saturday between 11 and 1 and meet Cathe.  Her work is up for another month.
