A lovely day for a ride.

I saw a big variety of birds today.  My bird list included a cat bird yelling at me, a cardinal calling to me, a red tailed screeching, a pair of kingfisher singing together, a red headed woodpecker talking away, and bluebirds, goldfinch, doves, and many more.  

The goats looked so lovely on the side of the very green hill.  There were starlings and swallows all around.  

There were songbirds in the bushes that I could not see well enough, and I could not get my lens to focus on them, they were just slightly back so the lens wanted to focus in on the leaves.  

There were two heron on the edge of the pond below the kingfisher.  They may be hanging out for the rest of the season.  I haven't seen them return to a nest though.  One of them looks small and must be young.

And this red tailed hawk was so high.  He was screeching away and soaring way up in the clouds.  Sometimes I get so jealous of them.  It looks like so much fun.

It was a beautiful day for a ride.  Then I took myself out to a nice dinner alone.  I need to pamper myself because it looks like I have to make some big life changing decisions this month.
