Day 218
August 6, 2021
Here comes the rain again
Actually, the rain didn't last long at all, but for a bit there was a dash to the building. I had lunch with good friends I hadn't seen in a couple years. Very nice, pleasant catch up and EJ happened to come by. It was great to see them.
I took my nap and went up to the rookery after 5:30. It was humid and 86 but still and peaceful. The kingfishers were the only visible birds and there was this grass island again.
I don't get how it forms itself so quickly in different spots. It completely blocked the beaver dam today. Yesterday it was a tenth of that.
Mowing is happening in the hill towns. I thought I'd see some big birds, but I didn't. I love the patterns mowing makes.
The views were humid, but gorgeous.
I stopped and looked back a couple of times. Again, no big birds but plenty of beauty.
