Day 225
August 13, 2021
Happy Friday the 13th

Got up early and met Amie for breakfast and this little guy entertained us.  He kept looking at Amie like she'd eventually give in to him, but she didn't.  It was kind of a dance all through our breakfast.
I'd heard that there was a heron in Highland Pond so I went over there and sure enough, there she was.  There were no turtles on turtle log, but she was fishing near by.

On the other end of the day I drove my usual ride backwards.  I saw a lot of animals and only 2 humans.  Way too hot for humans today, way too hot to stay sane.  It was important to move slowly.

There were cows in a pasture so covered in flies. Kind of frightened me, I get frightened by strange things, don't I?

This male heron was in the horse pasture.  The horses were running.  He was in the same space as he was yesterday.  Must be a behavior that happens in swampy weather.
Went up to Poets Seat for sunset which was not very interesting except you could see the storm over the Berkshires.  Lightening was flashing a lot over those hills.

Finally the mosquitoes got to be too much.  I came home.  Tomorrow we are in the common with The Farmers Market.  I have to be there really early, so I'm going to bed.  NIGHT
