Day 242
August 30, 2021
A new week

There were 4000 people in that space all weekend.  Still some tents to be taken down, but basically no indication that there was music for 3 days.  I hope people are getting tested because there did not seem to be a lot of masks being warn, but there were an awful lot of happy people and no problems at all.  A completely successful festival.
There were many birds out today.  I saw a male cardinal sitting on golden rod.  I counted 12 gold finch standing in front of my car.
There was a turkey near me at the rookery.  He kept calling, I think he must have been on the hillside across the road telling me to go away.

There were a lot of frogs, but I did not see the heron.  I was there around noontime, which is just not a good birding time.

The heron at Highland was very close.  I wish she'd get a friend to play with, she looks lonely.  She was right next to turtle log and there weren't even any turtles near by.

I'm taking the week to work on the house, but I hope to get one good ride in.  Tomorrow maybe ok picture taking weather, but Wednesday and Thursday will not be.  I also am working on a piece about seeing through the thin veil.  Maybe I'll post that soon.
