Welcome September

Very rainy day today, I guess we haven't seen the worst of it yet, but it was pretty darn grey all day.

Drove up to Warwick this morning and went for my usual Heron Pond ride.  Rain, and rain on pine trees and wetlands.  

After my nap I went up to the rookery where there was a red tailed watching an osprey watching 10 or more ducks in the water in the rain.  The red tailed got bored first.  The osprey was still there in the growing mist when I left.

The horses and the cattle were out.  The temperature could not have been over 70.  September came and the temp dropped 20 degrees.  

The cattle were all close to the road today.  When I started driving towards them I thought they were in the road and not behind a fence.  I was wrong, but they were quite close for this gang.

The calves are wary of me.
