Day 245
Sept. 2, 2021
What a beautiful day.  Spectacular

Weatherwise it was a shunning day today.  Glorious.  I went up early to the rookery.  It looked entirely different again this morning.  The water level was much higher and there were several streams of moving water throughout.  There were a lot of ducks, I had a hummingbird check me out and an adolescent bald eagle hang out with me.  He too flew across the pond, checked me out and then flew back to the high trees. I tried to get him in flight, but I've outgrown my equipment.  It's just true and I just have to live with it.

I'm exhausted.  I feel like I'm letting go of my life and starting a new one.  Today I admitted that to myself.  A new chapter has begun and I am already exhausted, but not depressed.  Here it goes.

Went down to the Canal tonight.  Geese, ducks, one heron.  There were no swans and no egrets and most of the ducks were mallards.  The heron was so perfectly camouflaged I missed him on my way in.

Took myself out for a salad.  That felt nourishing.

I saw friends today and I had a good cool nap.  Things feel much drier and the breeze was wonderful.  I hope tomorrow is more of the same.  I have to go back up to Warwick in the morning so I'm hoping for good pictures.

Meanwhile I hope all have wonderful dreams.  Good night.
