Day 248
September 5, 2021
Happy 50th, Tristan and
happy 66 to Geoff.

It was a horrible day for picture taking.  I thought the day would start out in Edite's garden with a lovely group of writers who I haven't written with in almost two years.  There is always good food in these gatherings and great listening.  I think we were all looking forward to it.

But at 8 this morning it was raining and due to pour so we cancelled sadly.  I stayed in bed and read.

I did a little organizing and a little work and around 1 went out for my ride which was quite nice and quite long, but I'm not sure I went anywhere and I really didn't take pictures or write a poem
The female hanging in the rookery came out and entertained a group of us. There were grandchildren visiting and she caught their attention.  I'm not sure if Rocco took this picture or I did, but there she is on the tip top of the perching tree.

My camera equipment is fading.  I think it will make it through the year.  I am going to try and sell some photos and put part of the money in a camera fund.  We'll see.

But my AF is definitely misfiring.

I went for an early dinner at C.G.  It's just not the same without my E.J.
