Day 281
October 8, 2021
FALL
A year ago we had major microbursts come through the county taking down many trees. I was asleep when one went through the neighborhood about 300 feet away from me. The road to the rookery was closed for a few days. It was not one of those days today. It was peaceful and pleasant and fall is about to peak.
There are beautiful oranges this year and wonderful canopies. There is a lot of texture and the light coming through the colors is stunning.
Heron Pond is beyond peak on one side and on the other soft with yellows and oranges.
I drove home during early sunset. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry to get home to a meeting so I could not photograph it.
All day long I've just wanted to put songs to my life. My brain was fuzzy and I was having a hard time not being grouchy, but I was surrounded by beauty wherever I went.
