Day 310
November 6, 2021
Remarkable audience

It feels a lot like Christmas night to me.  We worked hard to get the show up and the opening delivered.  It was a big success and now its over.  I was a hostess not a photographer today and my shots demonstrate that.  But, nonetheless, here they are.
In some respects the highlight of the day was the relationship between the 3 year old and Christopher.

She was captivated by his singing to her and sat there for a very long time.  She was moving to the rhythm and when he sang silly stuff she laughed.  They'd never met before, but she was absolutely at home at the opening.  She did art, sang, ate and just had a good day.
Emerald is one of the artists.  She had some friends and family come to the opening.  They were clear allies in her voyage as an artist.  So warm to watch.

We set up an art table so anyone could do some art.  Really nice way for the artists to meet each other and talk.  Some hung their pieces up and others took them home.
All in all I felt really good about it.  I hope more people come to see it over the next seven weeks.  I think I will get a book people can write in to make comments.  I want the artists to be able to see how their work is being perceived and received.
Thanks everybody who helped.  It really was a good time.

I was so pleased.  about 40 people came and were interested and they did represent different groups from the larger community.  They ranged from 90 to 3 and really looked the same as the variety of art work.
If you didn't make it today, come by either Thursday evenings 5 to 8 or Saturdays, 11 to 2 until Dec. 18th
