Day 336
December 2, 2021
Wet and icky today. But the play is funded
And I am on Day 2 of prompts. I went over to the Connecticut to write. I had a swan fly over my head. I could hear the whap whap of his wings. It was really loud.
How long has it been since I went down to the canal? Its been awhile. I brought my lunch down here and watched some mergansers play. They must winter in the canal and summer further north on a lake someplace.
This is the beginning of a poem about blurry lines, smoky edges. Its a poem about swan flying across the cove stark against the fog, colors subdued and textures erased. It's about loosing the lines between us.
Winter has arrived and we are back to isolated living, yet I have managed to take on new projects with steep learning curves. Very exciting.
