A lot of experimenting

today

Short ride today after doing all of the medical phone calls and making all of the appointments.

A fire breathing dragon

wrapped in the arms of

No longer a child but

of my body saturated in hot

I'm still addicted to the feel.

My skin turning red, happy

steaming hot, submerged

refreshing the water often

on top of the dryer or in my tub.

From linoleum tiled floors

with tiny red roses, heat radiating

with 50 stuffed animals and a quilt

snuggled on my bedroom floor.

Sparked, popped and grew blue

on brick floors while birch logs

as wide as I was long

in front of the cast iron chimney.

By finding places to lie where heat permeated

when I was a child I perfected staying warm.

 Spent a good long time organizing thoughts about the play.  The process will begin soon.

I need to work on strategies for feeling safe.
