Day 356
December 22, 2021
Reflection of the year in one puddle
Underneath water
decayed fallen oak, maple
still standing trunks.
Length and breadth of tail,
broad stripes of flaming feathers.
Catch sight in distant tree
Like piles of dirty clothes
Muskrats" home gets big
Mother, Father and last year's pup
What has protected me?
The mystery and discovery?
Everyday beauty?
The abundance of loss, didn't I just use that phrase in a poem, I think so. I feel like someone threw a pebble into my water and for 3 days it has rippled, and like a canoe that zig zags over the waves my heart has traversed the ripples.
Yesterday Amie and I took a short ride in my new car through not a very interesting sunset. But I really appreciated it because I miss the daily blink of Amie's wisdom. I mean that. I've been feeling disloyal to my Vibe. She pointed it out that it had been my best friend, studio, office, protection, and wheels since COVID began. It's really true. Thank you, Vibe and thank you Karen, and thank you Universe. I am grateful for all you've given me.
What is the information that changes this optic array?
I love your experiments - and you
