Day 365
December 31, 2021
Happy Birthday Madeline Whiton
The last day of 2021, in some respects it felt like any other day this year, but at the end it wrapped up nicely. It was 47 and drizzly and I made it to the pool. Thank God. I just need to stretch and hang in the water. I will go tomorrow, too. Makes a lot of difference.
The dryer is fixed. Laundry is being done. I started to do dishes and I felt stable in my own home. Tomorrow I will make plans to go to Maine and go away for a couple days. But today it felt strong to just be here.
The last 20 minutes V. videoed me and David talk about his art and his process which was really nice. They will put it on line soon. David's art is made from beehive, graphite and sycamore bark. It's fascinating.
Bob Markey plays sitar and came and played for David for the first hour. His instrument was so stunning. I was too over aware to just photograph him tonight, but I would love to do it.
Thomas brought special stuff for an hors d'oerve dinner before the art opening. It was perfect. He sautéed mushroom and onion in vinegar and oil and taste. And he had cheeses and an artichoke salad.
Delicious.
I had gone over to look for the heron at Highland that people say has stayed around. I didn't see anything but fog and they've closed the road by the pond so I couldn't get near. But it was beautiful in the fog.
The end of the year. It's late, I'll reflect tomorrow, but thanks for reading my 2021 blog. I am not going to stop it, I may change the name, but I will keep on going. So see ya in 2022.
