Day 23
January 23, 2022
4 days away.  New photos to share

My big brother picked me up early Thursday morning to bring me to Maine to stay in their airB&B.  He and Molly were very sweet to me and I felt wanted there.  It's always a good thing to feel like you are wanted someplace

The drive was long, but I survived it and not being the driver helped my body do it, and because I am relaxed with his driving it was all considered a smooth travel.
These photos are taken from inside the rental space where I stayed.  Very sweet views.  It was extraordinarily cold out there.  I would not have liked being on the water Friday morning. We were not as cold as Vermont, but it was only 2 when the sun was rising.

Molly brought me for a lobster roll which I have been craving and it made me so happy.

We ate extremely well and watched Jeopardy, you know how long its been since I watched Jeopardy?

And on Saturday Paul took me out to the break water and lighthouse walk.  We did not walk the rock path which is over a half mile long, but we did walk the shorter walk down to the rocks.

It was so gorgeous.  It's strange how few photos I did take, but it really was very cold.  We got out of the truck in a couple of places, but basically we looked at the world from within.

Molly gave me 10 new books to read. That'll last me 6 weeks.  That is exciting.  She also sent me home with all of the leftovers, well not all of them, but a lot.  Including this tomato soup she made me which blew me away.  And it didn't make me sick.  Heaven.

I am very chill this evening.  I need to focus on a few things, but for the most part my time away did relax me.  Thank you family, what a treat.  And if anyone is looking for a short stay in Maine  go to Windows on the Sea, Rockland, Me. to check out their rental.  It is easy and light.  3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.

This morning we left Rockland at 6 a.m.  Here is this morning's sunrise.

We drove home through New Hampshire so that we could go meet our new great niece.  Paul had never seen Ember and Karen's house either.  What a wonderful family these guys are.  She is a lovely baby and I got to hold her for a while.  She's long and skinny and smiley, really happy.  This photo looks like Paul isn't paying attention, but on the contrary he was in a state of delight.
So I'm home.  Happy to be here, very grateful for the little vacation, my wonderful family, the birth of our new person, the huge capacity to love we all seemed to have been born with, great food, and a calm heart tonight.
