Day 25
January 25, 2022
a peaceful tribute to Alfred Hitchcock.

Took a ride back down to the canal at noon time today.  It was quite the happening place.  There were a lot of humans around, too.  Birdwatchers and photographers sprinkled all over Migratory Way.

The light was funky, but I loved it and I switched over to black and white.

Paul took the picture of me holding Eliza Jean.  We were both pretty happy at this moment.

Collection of Uncertainty

Refrigerators collect generations

Become old wallpaper

Become smart boards

Tablets for writing poetry

Container for postcard collection

and the latest grandchild portrait.

And what postcard

did you choose to send to me?

What determines my collection?

The tone of my kitchen?

What you believe is the right card

for me etches my scenery.

Pictures both drawn and printed

that new baby’s smile

grandpa’s pride.

The cabin we stayed in

two weeks amidst the Doug Furs

The lake she cared to swim

Unpredicted spaces

where identities are defined

murals of all our uncertainties

stared at when hunger commands.

Refrigerators feed our truths as well as our minds.

I do love babies.  He's 5 months old today.
The baby's Mom made me this crystal was to protect my heart and still leave me open to go through the journey of producing this play.
