Day 27

Duck eyes

A short visit to the canal and a run up to the rookery were my ride today. Last night I read about the 20,000 feathers that are on a swan's neck.  That's so inconceivable, amazing.. It was not very warm at the canal today, maybe 20, and there were no mergansers and fewer gulls.  The mallards were very active and the swan were grouped.

I'm trying to think through too many things at once so I end out not completing any one project.  I have another day I can focus on projects.  I'm pretty excited by them all.

What else can I write about tonight?  My brain is not fluid, it is fuller than it was last night, but it is not articulate.  I am thinking about so much at one time.

I did read through some poetry earlier and I think I can create a 40 poem chapbook from 2021 poems.  This one will just be poetry, unlike Words from the Rookery which will include poems and photos.  But Lindy, put the play together first.  That is your main priority at this point.

I love the duck eyes.  They really are expressive in small ways.

Only one goat had ventured out today.  I don't think it's easy roaming in the pasture these days.  However, it was very pretty.
