A human and their baby. These two are very fun together. Baby can jump almost as high as the couch I love her, she's fun and she sniffs at me.
EJ came over to help with the play. They have the right language to talk about the stuff I am trying to wrestle with. I'm a groupie, not an actor, they're an actor and conscious of what goes into a strong monologue. It helps me keep on task. I have to choose 8 minutes out of 90 minutes to place in the play. Which 8 minutes gives the audience the right amount of information to understand the tension?
Leonor Fini "La Toilette Inutile" (France) 1964
She wanted orange in her life.
She wanted to learn to
high jump at 70,
didn’t believe her bones could shatter.
She wanted to climb the hills
of Tuscany, swim
in Lake Geneva
or with the turtles in Chile.
Large muscles stretched to their fullest
while her eyes absorbed
new sights
azure oceans
olive trees and dusty soil.
Snow covered gigantic mountains
above the quiet water she
plunged herself within.
She wanted to expand while she began to shrink
Reach out as far as she could
enveloped in orange
confident and grand.
Today's birds were simpler, not as many and not as many kinds at the canal. The sun was bright but it was cold. We watched the swans for awhile. EJ wanted to hug one, but thought better of it. LOL
The geometry of colour? The angles and the colors were so fascinating where the ice had buckled. These would make good jigsaw puzzles.
I'm going to print these big and see if they hold together. I love the different textures in the ice, too.
watching this, I thought of EJ making an art video: https://jun-kaneko.com/
