Day 4

Here they come

Today was about birds.  I saw many birds, many different kinds of birds.  It was very cold out and very sunny.  There were no birds on the rookery, just ice.  Sherry said the otters were back yesterday.  Could not find them today, but I may have been there too late in the morning.

I saw a lot of blue birds on the drive though.

And at sun set time I went to the canal and there were Canada geese, mallards, common merganser, and swan, There were 2 groups of 10 merganser a piece.  They hang near the geese, but are smaller. 

Once the sun was down a little the geese were really active and noisy.  

I also went over to the Green River and caught the very end and the moon.  It was so nice to have real light today.  Much more fun to take this kind of picture when there is interesting light.
