Day 40
February 9, 2022
My red tailed is home to mate

Sunset

sun dog fights to stay

a broad patch of rainbow.

As the angle between sun

and land shrinks

one last bright moment

shouts over the planet

refraction pops colors.

A storm of rainbow particles.

Sun sits on the horizon

higher land not far away.

Fireball rests on the backside

of the ridge for just a moment,

continues to slip behind.

Feather clouds begin to fill in

the empty spaces in sky.

What color am I expecting?

There were at least 50 grackle and 50 robins feeding in the cemetery tonight

Didn't get my ride today, but I did go down to watch the sunset.  I was surrounded by birds.

So what are you most proud of in your life?  What've you done that you feel really good about and that no one can take away from you?  I know mine has to do with listening, but I'm not sure how to articulate it yet.
